The Last, Past, & Future

Today I am working on some machine work. Whether it's an impeller or pump housing, I am completing some projects to enable me to do other projects. I have quickly lined up a new design for personal use. The next minor project that will take time to get stuff together for is a shoe last to make custom fit flats, shoes, and boots. None of my shoes fit well, and none that I can buy will properly fit. So I am going embarking on learning a little bit of cordwaining and making some simple shoes I can work with. Have you made any shoes, or do you know anyone who has made any shoes from scratch?
